Hey Everyone,
Just wanted to write a quick blog post about my very first Jam Session. It finally took place last night! After practicing for a year (or so) I finally hooked up with some buddies/musicians and we jammed for about 3 or 4 hours. I had a blast, it was great fun... I was a little nervous at first but loosened up after a little bit of playing and a couple beers :)

This is very cool. We've had The Drum Fill live for just over and month and we already have over 30 drummers signed up! The most interesting thing is how we've had drummers sign up from all over the world... Here are some of the great countries our fantastic members have come from:

Hey,
I was away for a few days on a fantastic family vacation in New York. Not my first time there, but what a great place to visit for a few days. We spent some time in a great place called Montauk, Long Island. Beautiful beaches and very relaxing. It's close to The Hamptons but much cheaper :-). We visited the Big Apple for a few days taking in the Bronx Zoo and was lucky enough to see The Lion King on Broadway. Wow, what a show... some great live drumming also during the show... bongos, etc.…

I've been working on some Off Beat Hi-Hat Beats for the past week or so from my DVD teaching collection. This might be a piece of cake to some, but for a beginner/intermediate drummer I was happy to get into them and learn a few cool beats. I was working on the final one today before I move onto some "Intermediate" Tom Fills and I was loving the sound of it.
