Good to hear things are ok with you. I know what you mean about playing being better than sex. lol It is just sooooo damn satisfying for a much longer period of time. I created a facebook account the other day. I don't have too many pics to put on it yet. Well, I gotta go and get ready to snow blow my freaken driveway. Take it easy.
So Tommy was good. Glad to hear you had a great time. I was living in hell this past week. My sister and her family got into a car accident right around the corner from my house so I ran to the scene to help out. Luckily they came out with one with stitches and a concussion and my sister has a fractured rib. Not bad considering there were 6 people in the car. Two days before that I kicked my 22 year old out of the house and then this past Wednesday my 13 year old had a seizure while we were on the way home from a doctors appointment downtown. I thought she had died because when the seizure was done she not only had blood coming out of her mouth but she was blue and went into what I call a death stare. Her eyes were open but not moving at all. She looked dead and it didn't look like she was breathing. I had called 911 hoping they could help me revive her. I was on a bridge at the time this was all happening driving in rush hour traffic. I found a parking lot to pull into after we got off the bridge. It was snowing pretty good too. A rescue squad came and an ambulance. By the time they got there she was moving her eyes but was not aware of anything going on around her. She was in the hospital for a couple of days. I had a packing job to do the next morning and I had to leave her in the hospital to do the job. The job lasted for two days. She has never had a seizure like that and we don't know what caused it. She is on meds now to keep it from happening again. We have to have more testing done. What a shitty week. 2009 has not been good for me so far. As far as the songs go, I am having a hell of time with one of them because the tabs are so off on certain sections and I am having trouble figuring out what it should be. I haven't had much time to play them in the last two weeks. So at least you had a good time last week. Now I have to go and get caught up on everything I got behind in. Talk to ya later.
O cool, you're going to see Tommy Lee. Nice way to break up winter. You'll have to let me know how he was. lol So you were drinking at the time you wrote your message. he he he niiiiicccce! I have to cut back on the drinking though because I have gained about 4 pounds from drinking and eating too much. When I drink and get very hungry and stuff my face with food. Hopefully the weather will get nice for you soon and you can get back to painting your drums.
Hey there, sorry it has taken me so long to respond. When I read your last message I had been drinking and didn't want to respond under the influence. So I'm still working on getting a camera. They are so damn expensive. I don't know about kicking ass on stage. It is just taking me so long to get these songs down cold. I will get it down and then forget certain sections. It really sucks. The one song I'm working has incorrect tabs and so now I have to listen to the song over and over again to see what is actually being played. I find it very frustrating. I don't have the patients to sit and listen and figure out every note.
So what have you been up to? Anything exciting? I'm getting so sick of the cold and snow. It has been snowing almost every day here for about 2 weeks. Has your weather gotten any better. We are supposed to have a high temp of 0 F by Friday. I don't know what that is in Celsius.
Well, I gotta run. I just wanted to say a quick hello. Take it easy.
Well, you sound pretty busy yourself. So you will be seeing Tommy Lee anyway That's cool. Your new years eve sounded a little like mine. So you have a cymbal fund started. Excellent!! I jammed today and it sucked. We were so freaken off. Dan's guitar pedal is messed up so the sound was all off and it threw us both off. Oh well, I know it will be like that at times.
We have gotten a lot of snow too. We had gotten about 3 feet of snow and then about a week later it all melted within 2 days because it got warm and rainy. Then we got about a foot and half of snow a few days ago. So you have snow. I guess your nice temperate weather has left you. You have the same kind of crap we do.
I had a facebook account but I deleted it about 2 months ago. I didn't ever go on it and I had gotten an email from a guy saying he wanted to ad me as a friend and I accepted it. So I went into my account to see who he was. As far as I could tell he was an old sleezey jerk. So I just deleted my account. I can make up another account. After I do I will let you know.
It's been a while. How are things going? Did you do anything fun for New Year's eve? I stayed home and stayed warm. Had a few drinks, munch on a lot of food and then went to bed. I am about ready to head to my kit and work on the songs that we are trying to learn for our play list. I am now working on The Trooper by Iron Maiden. The drum patterns aren't hard but the tempo is at 150 so I have had to work my way up to that speed. It sounds like crap at a slower tempo but when I bring it up to speed it sounds great. Well, I guess I better get my ass to work. Take it easy.
Merry Christmas! Hope you have fun with the kids. I'm working on my next few songs. I printed up the music and am writing notes and getting them ready so I can sit down and just play them. I hope to be gigging regularly by the spring so I have a lot of work ahead of me. I don't know if I will be ready by then but I am going to try like hell to get out play list together. Have fun. Talk to ya soon.
