I use protools digi 002 withan ultragain pro 8 digital.
So basically I can record 16 tracks at once but rarely do unless it is a live show.
I use mostly AKG and Shure mics. Something better if it is for vocals.

I'm torn between this and my Pearl set which sounds awesome also.
The DWs are loud and powerful , maybe I won't need to use so many mics.
