Hey all! Just curious what sort of Interface/software/operating systems everyone out there is using to record their drums with? Anyone just getting started with home recording?
Interface: Presonus Firepod, Tascam U122L
Software: Reaper, Cubase SX3 and Audacity
Operating System: Windows XP Pro
Sounds like a great setup, I have been watching for a used Firepod or FP10 to add to the one that I have. How do you like Cubase 4? Does it have a pretty easy learning curve?
Rock on,
James
James,
I use protools digi 002 withan ultragain pro 8 digital.
So basically I can record 16 tracks at once but rarely do unless it is a live show.
I use mostly AKG and Shure mics. Something better if it is for vocals.
I headed to the LA NAMM show on Saturday to see what's new.
It is like a musician's candy store, especially the drum booths.
I'll post some pics next week hopefully.
Rocky
I use 12 tracks when I am recording my drums, but rarely end up using ALL of the feeds. It's just nice to have options to choose from.
NAMM sounds like a wet dream for sure! I worked at a music store a few years ago and could NOT get the boss to take me.......haha! Photos of your tour sounds great!
